William "Bill" Allan passed away peacefully on March 15, 2022 at Morada Senior Living in Cedar Hill, Texas. Bill was born on December, 28th 1929 in Bowmore Islay, Scotland to his parents Joseph and Bessie Allan. He moved to Singapore as a baby as his father was stationed in Malaysia as a Captain in the Royal Southerland Highlander Brigade. He enjoyed his childhood raised in a tropical location. The Japanese invaded Singapore in 1942 he and his mother returned to England and settled in Casewayhead, Scotland. His father was captured by the Japanese and was held prisoner for 4 years. Bill joined the British Army and was stationed in England and Egypt. Bill had two daughters Susan Dawn Lynette Allan and Louise Eleanor Allan. After leaving the Army in Egypt he moved to Salisbury, Rhodesia in south central Africa. He remarried bought a farm and shared many experiences of living life in Africa. in 1962 he immigrated to Dallas, Texas. He immediately went to work for Neiman Marcus. His family grew with the birth of his twins Christine Allison Allan and Barbara Ann Allan and his son Mark William Allan. Bill went up the ranks at Neiman's finally becoming a head buyer. He became a US citizen in 1976 and loved his new country. Bill retired from Neiman's in 1994 and has enjoyed his retired life. He had so many interesting stories to tell of all his adventures, experiences a life full of travel. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Bessie Allan, his daughter Christine Allison Worful, his son Mark William Allan and his nephew William Allan Worful. He is survived by his daughters Sue Morley and Louise Williams of England. His daughter Barbara Farley and his son in law Herb Farley of Desoto, Texas. His grandchildren Mark & Verane Morley, Adam & Ode Morley, Stacey & Adam Young, Chloe & Neil Hazlewood, Oliver Williams, Marcus & Terry Hix, Emily Worful, Max Allan, Taylor Allan, Erica & Tim Gray, Andrea Acosta and many great grandchildren.
