Virginia Griffin Keeth July 3, 1943 – April 14, 2025
Virginia Griffin Keeth passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on July 3, 1943, in Seymour, Texas, she was the daughter of Meirl Virginia Lane and William James Griffin.
Virginia met the love of her life, Billy Elwood Keeth, at Harding University. They married on July 13, 1962, and shared 56 years of love, laughter, and faith-filled partnership. Together, they raised three children: Roger, Kristi, and Randy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy, and their oldest son, Roger.
Virginia was the oldest of eight siblings and is survived by her sister Sharon. She was preceded in death by her sisters Diane, Linda, Joann, and her brother Jimmy. As the eldest, she carried a strong sense of responsibility and love for her family that continued throughout her life.
Known for her caring and generous heart, Virginia was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She was deeply involved in her children's lives and found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She made their visits special, hosting sleepovers filled with homemade chocolate chip cookies and movie nights. Her home was a place of comfort and joy, made even brighter by her contagious smile and laughter.
Virginia was an exceptional gardener, growing bountiful tomatoes and surrounding her home with vibrant flowers and her beloved elephant ears. Her love for nature mirrored her nurturing spirit.
A woman of deep faith, Virginia and Billy were lifelong members of the Church of Christ. She was an active member of a daily prayer group, offering encouragement and comfort to others through prayer. She also brought joy and energy to her community as a member of an adult soccer league, always full of quiet determination and a playful spirit.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Kristi Schneider and her husband, Steve, and their children: Colby, Nicole, and Brock Bartlett, and Zach Schneider; her son, Randy Keeth and his wife, Cami, and their son, Townes. Virginia is also survived by the children of her late son, Roger: Ashley Lobben and her husband, Austin, and their children, Caden and Peyton, and Amanda Keeth and her children, Gage and Kaiah.
Virginia greatly enjoyed all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought so much light and joy to her life. Their love and energy filled her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Virginia's life was a gift to all who knew her. Her legacy of love, faith, kindness, and that unforgettable smile will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A private family memorial will be held this summer, where Virginia will be laid to rest beside the love of her life, Billy.
