Vergia Mae Crayton Goosby, known affectionately as Verge, was born on January 8, 1948, in Hallsville, Texas to Horace and Etta Crayton. Graduating from James Madison High School in 1966, She pursued a successful career at Exxon Mobil, excelling in Benefits and Human Capital Management.

In 1977, She married Army Veteran and Aerospace Engineer Lorenza Goosby Jr., and they were blessed with two sons, Jason and Justin. Throughout her life, Verge was deeply committed to serving Her family, community and Her Lord. Today, we bid farewell with gratitude, loving memories and grace! In celebrating the life of this strong and faithful servant of God, let us carry forward the spirit of Verge in our hearts and actions.

She leaves behind to cherish Her loving memory: two Sons, Jason and Justin Goosby; a Daughter-in-Love, Natisha Goosby; seven Grandchildren, JaMyia Justine, Justin Jr., Armond, Adrianna, Z'Rhyia, Yasmine and Lexi. One Niece, Vivienné; four Nephews, Anthony, Kenji, John and Larry; one Brother, Robert Thomas; two Aunts, Lucille and Earnest; and a host of Cousins, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service is being held at Greater Mount Hebron Bible Church (2335 56th Street - Dallas, Tx 75241) on Saturday February 17th, 2024 at 11am.
