Troy Evan McKinney 28 Years old of Frisco Texas, was born on 1/3/1997 in Lubbock Tx passed away on 6/19/2025.

Troy is survived by his mother, Amy McKinney; sister, Brittny and James Morin along with their two kids Kacen and Londyn; his brother, Tanner and Lindsey McKinney; grandmother, Jim Beth Respondek; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Troy graduated from Monterey High School in 2015, Western Texas college in 2017 with an associates in theatre going on to Texas Tech University graduating in 2019 with a B.A. in Theaters Arts. His training and work experience include Texas Tech after school arts program paid to title 1 schools in Lubbock. 24/25 Panther Creek teacher of the year finalist. Frisco ISD PLC planning team and district new teacher mentor. Some Travels of educational value include TXETA summer fest, Texas Thespians (honor society) troup leader and DAEP state contest observations in theatre, One Act and Thespians.

Troy started his educator career at Scoggins MS teaching theater 1-3 and Tech Theatre 1-2 later hired on with Panther Creek High School teaching Tech Theatre grades 9-12. He was lighting director as well as assisting the head director with production, building sets, sewing costumes and stage makeup. Troy was a dedicated teacher who loved his students, as a motivating teacher Troy always saw the potential of every student.

In Troy's personal time he enjoyed reading, listening to music, painting, drawing and any other way to express his art. He cherished every moment he had with his family, especially his mawaw. Troy loved and was loved fiercely by his family and friends..
