Timothy "Tim" Alan Peterson, age 77, passed away on September 24, 2026 in Mansfield, Texas.

Born on June 30, 1949, in Fort Collins, Colorado, Tim was the beloved son of the late Dwayne and Mavis Peterson. He was raised in Storm Lake, Iowa and earned his degree in art from the University of Northern Iowa laying the foundation for a lifelong dedication to creativity, design, and visual expression.

Tim began his career as an art teacher in Des Moines, Iowa, inspiring young students to discover their own artistic talents. His career later led him to Fort Worth, Texas, where he established himself in commercial design, working as a talented graphic designer and eventually serving as an Art Director at Frito-Lay.

Known to all as a kind and gentle spirit, Tim’s greatest pride was his family, and he held a deep, abiding love for his children and grandchildren.

Outside of his professional life, Tim was a man of varied passions. He found great joy and freedom above the clouds as a dedicated glider pilot for many years. He was also an avid enthusiast who loved the thrill of buying, trading, and collecting cars and firearms, always enjoying the search for his next unique find or project.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Peterson; his two cherished children, Mindy Kurowski (Thomas) and Shawn Peterson; his beloved grandchildren, Melia and Troy Garza, and Tatum, Taylor, and TJ Kurowski; his brother, Daniel Peterson; his sister, Vicki Dale-Knopf; along with many dear nieces, nephews, and friends who will fondly remember his quiet warmth, generous heart, and creative mind.
