Obituary

Terry Gene Stephens 74, of Hurst, Texas passed away Feb 4 th ,2022.

Most of Terry's working career was spent in the security field. Starting as a police officer for Amarillo, TX, transitioning along the way to working as a detective for Pinkerton detective agency, and various other companies where he worked within their fraud detection department.

Terry was loved for his "Dad Jokes", …some of them were even funny…. He had an uncanny knowledge of guns that would quickly make you feel like an amateur when you "thought" you knew something about them. He loved any chance he had to go camping, fishing, or hunting, and if he wasn't doing one of those things, you could find him watching the tv about camping, fishing, or hunting…But one of our favorite memories will forever be how he loved to sit during family gatherings playing his Baby Blue Fender guitar and singing to his audience of admirers.

Terry's passing will be felt by all who knew him, and his presence will be greatly missed by his family.

He is proceeded in death by his mother Lea Ellen Williams, His father Eugene (Pop) Stephens, and his brother Garry Stephens.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Brenda Stephens of Hurst Texas.

Their children: Don and wife Erika Stephens of The Colony Texas,

Melissa and husband Jim Buck of Indiana,

Misty (Denise) and husband Cliff Harris of Springtown Texas, and

Heather White of Mabank Texas.

Along with his brother Mark Stephens of Springfield Missouri and

his sister Shannon Tolbirt of Arkansas.

He had 10 Grand Children and 12 Great Grand Children along with numerous nieces, nephews, and his little dog Buster that will miss him dearly.

Thank you, Dad, for loving each of us unconditionally, and for everything you did to build a loving family.

We love you so much.
