Teresa Gail (Vaughn) Sprague, 61, of Bedford, Texas peacefully passed away on September 29th, 2023, surrounded by those she loved.

She was born on November 3rd, 1961 in Parsons, Kansas to Frank and Honor Vaughn.  She was raised in Duncan, Oklahoma, and after graduating from Duncan High School with the Class of 1980, she attended Central State University. After a brief stint working on a dude ranch in Wyoming, she began a long and rewarding career in retail management.

Throughout the years, Teresa was active in her church, spent her time writing, crafting, and enjoyed volunteering at the Bedford United Methodist Church food pantry.  She loved cooking, baking, and fussing over her family every time they had a sniffle.  She looked forward to every holiday, putting out her decorations, and was especially excited at Halloween with the prospect of passing out candy.

Teresa always went out of her way to help a stranger.  She was funny, she was kind and she was definitely her own person. She often reflected that her time spent in Yellowstone was the best time of her life.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Honor Vaughn, her brother, Dewayne Frank Vaughn, in-laws Rev. Bud Sprague, Patricia Smith, Michael Sprague, Debi Pettit, Miriam Gray and Dwain Marsh.

She is survived by the love of her life, her husband Stephen Sprague, her beloved children, daughter Kristen Vaughn, son Matthew Sprague, and step-son Jeremy Kalmer(Diane), grandchildren Austin, Adrian, Anthony, Alyssa, and Alivia,  sisters Denise Clark(AJ), Susan Haley(Joe), Alicia Vaughn(Staci), and Regina Vaughn, in-laws Barbara Hoffman, Harold Hoffman, David Marsh and Carole Sprague, and many nieces and nephews.

The family plans to have a private memorial service at Bower Cemetery in Bower, Oklahoma.
