Sherry Jean (Pierce) Coy, 76 of White Settlement, TX and beloved wife of Leon "Lee" D. Coy for over 53 years, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at West Side Campus of Care, White Settlement, TX where she had been in residence for over a year. Sherry was born in Danville, IL, the daughter of the late Jonathan P. Pierce Sr. and Verlie "Ellen"(Pearman) Pierce of Niota, TN. She was preceded in death by her brother, Walter "Bud" (Donna, still lvg.) Pierce of Earlville, Chenango Co., NY,  infant brother, Steven Scott Pierce, No. Norwich, NY. Sherry had resided with her family in IL, NY, MO and TN prior to moving to Ft. Worth, TX. Survivors include her two sons, Scott (Juanita) Coy of Gilmer, TX, son, Lee Allen (Kathy) Umlauft of Freedom, OH and one daughter, Pamela Kenyon (Andy) Snider of Pflugerville, TX. Sherry has fifteen grandchildren, Myranda Champang, Russell (McKenna) Coy, Benjamin Coy, Brayden Coy, Lorrin Coy, Justin Harris, Deven Harris, Keven Harris, Cheyanne Overstreet, Jackie Sue Minear, Andy Pridemore, Edward Pridemore, Emily (Benjamin) Coussens, Kendall (Cody) Denham, Abby (Austin) Doucette; and many great-grandchildren.

Sherry is also survived by four brothers: Jonathan Jr. (Wyenema) Pierce of Etowah, TN, Ronald (Pat Cook) Pierce of Madisonville, TN, Terry (Jeanette) Pierce of Etowah, TN and Jeffrey (Sarah) Pierce of Montpelier, OH; two sisters: Linda (Curtis) Wright of Penn Yan, NY and Rose (Gary) Slater of Athens, TN;  including many nephews, nieces and extended family members across many states

She was a member of Wyatte Drive Baptist Church where she attended several years.

Sherry began singing as a very young child. She had a beautiful smile and a voice like an angel. She moved to Memphis, TN where she recorded four records for Pretty Girl Records. After giving her life to the Lord, Jesus Christ in 1976, she began singing and playing her guitar in church, whenever and wherever given the opportunity to glorify her Lord. She enjoyed gathering with her family; singing and playing music throughout many years. She shared many special times of singing and praising God as long as she was able. Her last songs were with her children who were at her bedside. Sherry was employed many years as an LPN. She worked in Geriatrics as Senior Activity Director of Heartland Health Care Center, Ft. Worth, TX.

She also used her gifts and talents as Choir Director of The Senior Citizens' of White Settlement, TX, and was formerly, "Queen of the Red Hat Society," White Settlement, TX. She was part of a women's trio called, "Women at the Well" and joined the Gospel Music Association; traveling to different places locally to sing.

She loved working with her hands; crocheting, embroidering, needlepoint, making dolls and various other crafting. She loved to read her Bible, Devotionals and many Christian novels; especially the Amish ones.

Sherry and Lee's best friends are David and Nonnie Martinez,  Billie and Charles Wright and Pastor, Leonard Newman.
