Another angel has gained her wings.

Samantha Richelle Eakin, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, aged 31 of Fort Worth, TX, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

Samantha, better known to her family and close friends as "Sam" was born in Weatherford, TX on August 03, 1994, to Sterling, Jr and LeeAnn. Three years later, in 1997, she became a big sister to Adriana. She was the oldest of 4 siblings, 2 younger sisters and a younger brother.

Sam was an extremely bright and gifted child. Throughout her elementary school years, she was enrolled in the Gifted & Talented program. She later attended Bailey Boswell High School in Saginaw, TX.

She was very artistically inclined. She loved to free hand paint as well as sketch. Sam loved Indie films, poetry, a vast array of music genres and anything vintage. She would always describe herself as being an old gypsy soul. She was incredibly funny and she loved to make people laugh. Her razor-sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor will be sorely missed by those whom have had the privilege of knowing her.

Samantha was a brilliant and shining star in the canvas of our night sky and starry nights will never again shine as brightly for us as they once did. She is survived by her parents, Sterling Gene Eakin, Jr. and LeeAnn Vilaros, her sisters Adriana Eakin and Ayanna Eakin, her brother Matthew Wederstrandt, as well as a multitude of family and friends, who will never forget the love and laughter she brought to their lives.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Sam and announced at a later date when our hearts aren't as heavy and sad as they are right now.
