Roy Dean Willbanks Sr., 79 Passed away on Tuesday January 5th, 2021.
Roy was born on February 24th, 1941 in Italy, Texas to John Elmer Wilbanks and Mary Louise Briles.
Roy was a soft spoken, gentle, hardworking man that was loved more than words can describe. Roy was a veteran of the United States Army.He worked for Texas Steel, 32 years as a Core Maker.
Roy was married to his soulmate and best friend Billie Jean Willbanks for 59 wonderful years. He instilled the importance of God and Family. He treasured family time putting a grandchild or great-grandchild on his knee and speaking with his infamous Daffy Duck impression where laughter would consume the room. All the little things in life he cherished, and he always put the needs of others in front of his own.
Roy was preceded in death by his Father, John; mother, Mary; brother, Aubry; sisters, Ann and Emma; and son, Richard.
Survived by: Wife, Billie Jean Willbanks; son, Roy Willbanks Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Celso Cabral; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and April Willbanks Sr.; 7 grandchildren, Guillermo Willbanks, Lachaunda LaRue, Heather Campos, Johnny Willbanks Jr., Joshua Willbanks, Angelo Cabral and JayC Willbanks; 6 great-grandchildren, Matthew LaRue, Kaelyn Willbanks, Lila LaRue, William Willbanks, Ryenn and Hayden Campos; andextended family and friends.
