Robbynn "Robbie" James Simmons, 56, a beloved father, brother and larger than life friend passed away peacefully in Fort Worth, Texas on June 14, 2022, surrounded by family and friends.
Robbie was born September 6 th , 1965, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was raised by his loving mother, Virginia "Ginger" Dare Medford. He would also say he was raised by his beloved grandmother, Helen L. Simmons. He resided in Dallas/ Fort Worth for most of his life. Robbie attended Irving-Nimitz High School where he loved playing baseball leading to a scholarship at Rice University. Robbie was employed by multiple Financial Companies, advancing quickly to CEO before starting his own company CRS where he spent 10+ years before he became ill.
Robbie was very loving and forgiving as well as hardheaded, but he was loved dearly by all his friends and family.
Robbie was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Dare Medford. He is survived by his son Chancellor R. Simmons, daughter Alexandra A. Simmons, son Caleb N. Simmons, brother Michael S. Simmons, sister Skye L. (Sims) Hawkins, Uncle James M. Medford, Aunt Linda S. (Medford) Woodcock. He is also survived by his adoptive family Pam C. (Crubaugh) Whiteman, Vinny J. Keane and Jana L. Engle who have been his lifelong friends, who have had a huge impact on Robbie and his children's lives.
There will be a celebration of life for Robbie at a later date held at Greenwood Cemetery where Robbie will be buried next to his Grandmother Helen L. Simmons per his wishes.
