Obituary

Randall Carter, a devoted family man and accomplished professional, passed away peacefully July 13, 2024, at the age of 81. Randall lived a life full of love, dedication, and hard work.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sondra, their two sons, Barry and Blake Carter, granddaughter Morgan Carter Lemon, and her husband Paul Lemon. He is also survived by his sisters whom he always looked up to, Carole Fuqua and Barbara Wall, his bonus brothers and sisters, James and Seleta Judge, Dan Wall, Barbara Carter, and Rodney Green.

In addition, Randall leaves behind numerous friends and family members who will remember him fondly. Randall was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Edgar Carter, his brother, Gerald Carter, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Fuqua.

After his time in the United States Navy, Randall pursued a career in the sheet metal and drafting industry, earning his journeyman certification. One of his first big projects was helping build Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida. His passion for his work led him to further study HVAC systems, where he excelled and made significant contributions to the industry.

Beyond his professional achievements, Randall had a deep love for aviation and proudly earned his pilot's license, purchased his own airplane, and ruffled the feathers of his wife, Sondra.

Known for his generosity and willingness to help others, Randall never sought recognition or rewards for his hard work and kindness. He was a dedicated husband, father, brother, and friend. His greatest joy came from being a grandfather.

Randall will be remembered as a man who could build anything, loved unconditionally, his ability to make others laugh, and that unforgettable smile on his face. He made a positive impact on everyone he met. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
