Arlington—God called Philip Dwain Howard home on Friday, April 19, 2019 at the age of 77 years.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be on Saturday, May 18, at 12:00 noon at Advent Lutheran Church located at 3232 S. Cooper St., Arlington, TX 76015.

Phil and his twin brother, Michael, were born in Pampa, TX on July 09, 1941 to Johnnie Belle Oliver Howard and John Newton Howard.
Phil was reared in Waco, TX along with his three brothers. He graduated from University High School in May of 1960. After graduation Phil served his country in the United States Air Force as an airplane autopilot technician from 1960 to 1965.
On June 02, 1962 Phil and his high school sweetheart, Carolyn Matthews, were married in Waco, TX.Together, they reared their three children in Arlington, TX.
In 1978 Phil received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of Texas at Arlington. Phil worked as an aeronautical technical writer for Lockheed Martin for many years.
Phil had a Servant's Heart. He loved the Lord, his family, and friends.He was always available to help with whatever needed to be done. He had many gifts to share such as photographer, videographer, woodworker, and gardener to name a few.
Survivors:Phil is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carolyn Howard,Children: Gregory Howard (Jennifer), Brenda Burton (Chris), David Howard (Nancy), Grandchildren: Taylor, Curtis (Julia), Jacob, and Colton, Brothers: Jim Howard (Brenda) and Ken Orr (Janette) Sister-in-law, Helen Matthews and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and his sweet girl dogs, Lady Bear and Hildy Girl.
