Patsy Hurt Ross, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday June 22, 2018, at Mansfield Methodist Medical Center from heart failure.
Patsy Jean Chenault was born May 18, 1942 in Hugo Oklahoma to Ruby and B.H. Chenault. She leaves behind her son, Arnold Todd Hurt and his wife Angel, grandchildren Ashley, Hunter and Hannah; and many more family and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Foy Frederick Hurt and second husband Robert D. Ross, her parents, three brothers and four sisters.
Patsy married Foy Frederick Hurt in 1965 after only 6 month of dating, and they were married for 22 year until his untimely death in 1987. Patsy spent most of her career as a hair dresser living with Fred and their only son, Todd, in Lubbock, Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta until settling in Tyler in 1982 where she worked in banking.
Patsy married Robert D. Ross in 1990 they were married for 10 years until his passing in 2000. Soon after his passing Patsy retired and moved to Mansfield to be closer to her son, daughter -in-law and three grandchildren. She spent her retirement years traveling, painting, crocheting, and looking after her grandchildren.The kids have fond memories of Nana picking them up from school and spending afternoons with them making home-made "slushies" and listening to country music.Pat's grandchildren where her heart and joy, times spent at Nana's house were very special for her and her grand babies.
Patsy was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed and will always be cherished.She will be fondly remembered as a true Southern Charmer, whose quick wit and humor warmed many a room filling it with roaring laughter.
