Minnie Lou Hendrix, 76, passed away August 22, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on December 24, 2018 in Xenia, Ohio to Neil and Mildred Moore.

Minnie served in the United States Marine Corp and was based in Quantico, VA where she met her husband, Jim Hendrix, at the Marine Corp Ball. She was employed withSocial Security Administration as a Claims Representative and retired after over 30 years of service.

Minnie was an active member of the City of Sunrise Community for over 27 years.She was appointed to the Planning and Zoning Board and served admirably for 19 years.She also served on the Charter Review Committee.The Mayor of the City of Sunrise proclaimed Tuesday, June 10, 2014 as Lou Hendrix Day in the City of Sunrise.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband of 55 years, James Edward Hendrix; daughter, Susan Oblena and her husband Michael;
grandchildren, Emily Oblena and Ethan Oblena; sisters, Ruth Scully, Denise Minch; brother, William Moore; and many other relatives and friends.
