The life of The Honorable Mike Farhat is a true testament to the American Dream. A community pillar, Mike Farhat, went to heaven early on March 26, 2024. His life exemplified resilience, integrity, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. Mike passed away peacefully, leaving a legacy that will be cherished for generations.

Born in Lebanon on December 10, 1955, Mike was the oldest boy of seven children. Knowing his role in the family, Mike became educated and traveled to see and experience other cultures and traditions. America always fascinated him. Mike came to the United States in 1975 with an earnest desire for a better life and a boundless determination to make a difference.

Settling in Southlake, Mike quickly endeared himself to all who crossed his path with warmth, wisdom, and compassion. He was committed to pouring into the community. Mike shaped the area with his economic and philanthropic investment. He opened Magic Mike's gas stations/convenience stores, donating 3 cents per gallon of gas sold to the Carroll Education Foundation - an organization he founded to support teachers and extracurricular arts, science, and athletic programs in the Carroll School District.

Judge Farhat was the founding president of United States Global Partners, Ltd., an international trade and consulting firm that invests in communities. Serving as a judge and appointed in 2007, he returned his salary to the Tarrant County municipalities he served. He founded and sat on the board of the Sania Care Foundation, which works to end domestic violence. Other beneficiaries include Apex Arts League, National Charity League, Summer Santa, and Grace, a local food pantry and relief center. Mike was named an "Honorary Texan" by then-Governor George Bush. He also received the 2016 Southlake Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award.

Mike loved politics and people. His charming personality served him well in the political scene. He sponsored and supported Texas politicians and desired to see people succeed in whatever they were doing. He was more about investing in others than himself. The Starbucks and Hilton in Southlake Town Square were Mike's headquarters. He would sit in both places for hours drinking coffee and talking with people, encouraging them, and connecting them with others who they "just needed to know."

Mike leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Yet, his spirit will endure in the countless lives he touched and the indelible mark he left on our community. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate his remarkable life and honor his enduring legacy of service, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his community.

He wanted to be remembered as an honorable man who did the right thing by all he came in contact with, a man who understood blessings, was grateful for his family and friends, shared his blessings with all, and was brave enough to accept all of the challenges before him. He was fearful of only one….GOD.

Mike is survived by his wife Emily, son Tylor, daughter Ashley, step-children Austin, Meredith, and Caden, and siblings Kay, Joe, Layla, David, Dunia, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to one of the organizations listed above. May his soul rest in eternal peace, knowing that his legacy will continue to inspire us all. A last bit of advice from Mike, "It is often said that time is money. That may be true, but it is also true that time is precious. Use it to rejuvenate yourself and reflect upon your achievements."
