Melanie Gay Bartley passed away on November 11, 2023 at the age of 67 in Arlington, Texas. Melanie Gay Bartley was born on November 6th, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to Prentice and Sara Jeffcoat. Melanie grew up in Grapevine TX. She attended Grapevine High School. Melanie married Jean Bartley on July 13, 1974. Together, they had two children, Heather and Hollie. Melanie enjoyed cooking, crafting, and spending time with her family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were a great joy in her life. She was so proud of them. She enjoyed cheering them on at their softball games, basketball games, and track meets.

Melanie Gay Bartley is preceded in death by her father, Prentice D. Jeffcoat; her nephew, Michael Joseph Valentine.

Melanie is survived by her Mother Sara Jeffcoat, four Siblings, sister Gwen Valentine, brother Chuck and sister-in-law Sheila Jeffcoat, brother Arroll Jeffcoat, and sister Ellen and brother-in-law Rodney Hatfield. Daughter Heather and son-in-law Grant Ewert, daughter Hollie and son-in-law Rashaun Spivey. Three granddaughters, Karlee Denise and husband Logan Spence, Dharma Wilson, and Meredith Ewert. Six great grandchildren, Brody Bartley, Anni Spence, Bellamy Spence, Dallas Maynard, Moonie Spence, and Luka Spence.

Melanie is also survived by her many friends, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Paradise Cove @ 1PM.
