MaryLee Gibson, a strong-willed and deeply loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, at the age of 77.

MaryLee lived her life with determination, resilience, and a heart that fiercely loved her family. She was known for her strength, her honesty, and the unwavering devotion she had for the people she loved most. Those who knew her understood that beneath her strong personality was a woman with a deeply caring heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Janie Gibson, her brother John Gibson, and her beloved son Scotty Franks.

MaryLee is survived by her loving children, Monica Cieslak and Timothy Franks. She was a proud grandmother to Brittany, Kelly, Christin, Savannah, Brandi, and Hannah, and a cherished great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by five brothers and sisters, along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

MaryLee was an educated and accomplished woman who earned both a Bachelor's degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). She valued learning and independence and carried those traits throughout her life.

One of MaryLee's greatest joys was traveling to North Myrtle Beach, a place that held a special spot in her heart. She especially loved going "shagging," the classic Carolina beach dance, where her lively spirit and love for music and fun truly shined.

MaryLee had a presence that could fill a room. She spoke her mind, stood firmly in her convictions, and loved her family with fierce loyalty. Her strength, humor, and unforgettable personality left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Above all, MaryLee will be remembered for the love she gave and the legacy of strength she leaves behind in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who loved her.
