Marion Barnett Malimba, age 76, of Arlington, TX, passed away on February 3, 2023.

She was born February 2, 1947, in Okmulgee, OK, and grew up in Kansas City, MO.

Marion Malimba was an extraordinary human being who walked by faith in God. She was a kind-hearted, loving, and encouraging individual who was always present in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She always supported them and cheered them on as they followed their calling.

She was also a wonderful friend and mentor who touched many lives through her relationship with Jesus and through her gift of prayer. She had a unique way of imparting calmness into lives and always seemed to have the right words to share with those she met. Her friends and loved ones always gained from the seeds she planted in them and will continue to reap the fruit of her prayers to come.

Her father, George Barnett, mother, Harriet Sistrunk, and sister, Jo Ann Sistrunk, have previously departed. Marion is survived by her son and his wife, Charles and Colette Campbell, daughter Leila Campbell, son Kweli Campbell, daughter Nasaka Malimba, son Ben Jamin Malimba, daughter Faith Malimba; her grandchildren Doran Campbell, Loren Campbell, Chae Campbell; and her siblings Manual Barnett (Marcella), Julia Sistrunk Taylor (David), Lacey Sistrunk, and Lewis Sistrunk. The family will announce a celebration of life service privately
