Obituary

Margaret Trujillo went on to be with the Lord after an extended illness on July 25, 2019.
Margaret was preceded in death by Pablo Trujillo, her husband of 69 years. She is survived by her son Oscar Trujillo (Melba) and daughter Linda Lutz (Louis); six grandchildren: Laura Jones (Brian), Paul Lutz (Angie), Stephanie Williams (Brodrick), Lydia Knapp (Ryan), Nellie Lutz (Johannes), and Samuel Lutz (Caroline); nine great-grandchildren: Brendon, Dalton, Avae, Evan, Brooklyn, Madison, Graham, Collin, and Wren; sister: Lucy Ortiz; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Zapata and Aurora Gonzalez; and her brothers: Joe, Johnny, Ramon, and Oscar Zapata.
Margaret was born the 3rd of 6 children on February 26, 1927 in Sinton, Texas. She started her family there and moved to Portland, Texas, where she lived for 35 years. She and Pablo relocated to Fort Worth, Texas in 2006 to be closer to their grandchildren.
Margaret was a nurse for 37 years before retiring to commit herself to family and community full time. She was an avid collector of glass and crystal. At one time, she had her own kiln and fired her own creations. She had beautiful hands that were worn with hard work, but also soft. Her passion was always her family. She took every opportunity to remind her children and grandchildren that "you only have one family, you must always love and take care of each other." At the end of every conversation, if you said "I love you" she always responded with "I love you more."
Service will be at DFW National Cemetery Friday, August 9, 2019 at 9:15 am. The family will gather afterwards, contact Linda for more details.
