Lynda was born on October 19, 1942, in Three Rivers, Texas. She went to be with Jesus on October 24, 2022, at the age of 80 after a prolonged illness. She completed her studies at the University of Corpus Christi to become a teacher in 1965. While there, she met her husband, Jack Ballou, to whom she was married for 57 years. She taught school for many years in Virginia and Texas. She was an active member of First Baptist Arlington for most of her adult life doing various missions activities and serving in children's ministry. She became certified as a Master Gardener and always had the most beautiful yard on her street. For many years the highlight of her summer was Camp Lynda. She spent the year planning for this special week with her grandchildren.

Lynda is survived by her husband, Jack Ballou, children Jason Ballou and wife Lorena, Judith Anhuth and husband Michael, eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter, brother Bubba Stewart, and sister Judith Lee.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 28, at First Baptist Arlington at 11:00 am.
