Lori had no middle name but throughout her 64 years she had many last names, including but not limited to: Lingofelter , Abercrombie, Corey, Abernathey, Garcia, Sposetta and finally Williams which she never grew accustomed to and never got around to changing.
She was born and raised in Louisiana and had all that Cajun flavor and sass to boot. She lived a tumultuous life, and quite honestly wasn't dealt a great hand, but she did the best she could with it. Her favorite city in the world was New Orleans, and that's where she gave birth to her beloved daughter Lauren, who was her absolute pride and joy. Although life wasn't always easy for them, she made it as much fun as it could be for their little family and filled whatever home they were in with the most unconditional love imaginable.
Lori and Lauren moved to Arlington, Texas in 1989 and she has made a home here ever since. She met her life partner Kevin here and has spent over 20 good years with him, as they raised her special needs grandson, Angel, together. They have sacrificed their twilight years together to do everything possible to help him, and she loved Angel with all of her heart.
She was incredibly beautiful, vivacious, dynamic, complicated, genuine, and funny as hell; she was the life of many parties in her day. She's the kind of woman you wanted to take a road trip with the windows down and the music up. She was a fantastic cook and spent most of her life running her own successful catering company.
Lori was incredibly loving and funny, but do not cross her.Just a look from her across a room could leave grown men shaking in their boots.Although at times she was full of piss and vinegar, Lori had that thing in her, that magnetic spark that made you want to be near her.
Some of the things she loved the most: Motown music, sunshine, yardwork, dancing in the kitchen with her daughter, cooking food for people to enjoy, deep sea fishing, the color yellow, Angel and Kevin, Lauren, and crawfish.
If there is a heaven, we expect her to be sitting up there with her Mother and other dear lost ones, sucking heads and pinching tails, the sun on her shoulders, a cold beer in her hand and some Marvin Gaye in the background.
A Celebration of Life will be planned in the coming months. For now, in lieu of flowers, if you would like to donate any money to help with the care of Angel and Kevin through this impossibly difficult time, please do so here:https://bit.ly/2O0cK7Z
