Linda Jane Cooksey, 75, passed away March 10, 2023. She took her last breath surrounded by family and friends that loved her. She was born in Alger, Ohio to Cleo and Delores Harrod. She lived in Ohio until shortly after giving birth to her second child. She then moved to Texas where she lived for the remainder of her life. Once in Texas she met Dean Cooksey at a country bar where they enjoyed spending time dancing together. They were married and had 2 more children together. With Deans 4 boys, and Linda's 2 they had 8 children between them. Linda and Dean loved spending time with friends and family. They both loved going to the casino, camping and spending time with their children/grandchildren. Linda worked as a waitress most of her adult life. For many years she worked at Candlelite Inn in Arlington where she met some amazing people. Some of those later became known as family. After her 30 plus years at the Candlelite Inn, she moved on to work at Catfish Sam's for over 20 years. Her co workers and customers always had a huge place in her heart.

Linda is survived by her husband Dean Cooksey of Arlington, daughter Tina Beam of Burleson (Stacey), son Kyle Cooksey of Arlington, daughter Tami Granados of Arlington (Frank), son Micky Cooksey of Denison, son Steven Cooksey of Pottsboro, son Dean Cooksey Jr of Denison, 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild She is also preceded in death by her parents, son Jeff Francis, and son Wayne Cooksey, A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 3pm at Catfish Sam's in Arlington
