Levi Griffin, passed away on Wednesday 23 June, 2021 at the young age of 42.Levi was a talented artist who leaves behind his father, JB and his wife, Lisa that loved him more than words can express. He will join his mother, Bobbie Wheeler and his five grandparents in heaven. James Walter Levi Griffin is survived by his siblings, Alisa Green, Ryan Griffin, and Stephanie Griffin; as well as his niece and nephew, Madi Green and Austin Price. Levi is also survived by his grandmother, Bobbie Griffin and his aunts and uncles, Michael Griffin, Walter Wheeler, Liz Craig, and Ginny Wheeler; as well as many cousins.He also leaves behind too many friends to list around Denton, Texas that will miss his huge heart and kind smile.
Levi was known for his enormous heart, his listening ear, and his gentle soul.He was a proud graduate of the University of North Texas and worked for FEMA for several years.Music, movies, family, and friends were Levi's love in life as well as his faith.
A public memorial service will be held for Levi at Faith United Methodist Church in Denton, Texas on Saturday, 17 July, 2021, at 2 p.m.
His family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
Rest in Peace, son.As Billy Joel sang "Only the good die young".We love you.
