Larry DeCoux went to be with the Lord he loved dearly on April 22, 2024.

Larry was born on June 4, 1949, in Boston, MA. He graduated from Tewksbury High School in 1968. From August 1970 to March 1974, Larry served his country in the US Air Force overseas in Germany. In the fall of 1970, he met the Lord Jesus. Later, while going through a time of crisis, and despairing of his life, on a third-floor fire escape, he knelt down and consecrated his whole life to the Lord. After leaving the military, but staying in Germany to serve the Lord, as he was musing on Roman 1:9, he realized he had a human spirit. This was another step in his Christian life, leading to his leaving Germany. In the fall of 1974, he saw the matter of the ground of the church and the oneness of the body of Christ (Eph. 1:22-23). From then on, he met with the churches all over the world beginning in Boston and Providence. There he realized that God has an eternal purpose, and he gave his whole life to this.

He met his wife, Caroline, in Boston, and they were married in July 1976. In October 1981, they came to Irving, TX to serve the Lord for 3 months. Through that experience, they found a deeper way to serve the Lord and the ministry. They have lived in Texas ever since. February 1992 through February 1995, they were privileged to serve the Lord in St. Petersburg, Russia, raising up the church life there.

Larry also loved reading the Word of God and the ministry, singing hymns, gardening, baseball cards, having people into their home, and he especially loved being around children. Although not blessed to have his own, he has many 'spiritual' children throughout the world.

Larry struggled with Lewy body dementia these last few years. As his abilities lessened, he never lost his desire to pray, sing, and praise the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Rosie. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Caroline, and also his 9 siblings: Richard and his wife Gail, Marilyn Tompkins and her husband Ted, Paul and his wife Margaret, Don DeCoux, Michelle Falzarano and her husband Joe, Debbie DeCoux, Patricia Lowell and her husband Tim, Phyllis Girouard and her husband Paul, Ray and his wife Nasrin, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He will be missed, but we are all comforted that he is in a much better place and no longer plagued by his disease.

A memorial service, with a Zoom option, and a time to gather afterwards, will be held on May 11 from 2-4 at: 2315 West Pleasant Ridge Road, Arlington, TX 76015.
