Kyle Edward Shumake, 55, of Arlington, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 of natural causes. Kyle was a donor who helped several people with his gift.
Kyle was born at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas on June 1, 1963 to Ernest Lee and Glendora Goodson Shumake.
Kyle was raised in Arlington and graduated from Bowie High School in 1981. He worked for Fort Worth ISD for over 15 years and he loved his job.
Kyle loved to ride three wheelers, dirt bikes, and jet ski back in his early days. He was active with the Arlington Red Liners and loved to be in his jeep riding around. In his extra time with his boys, teaching them both how to ride bikes, throw a football, and catch a baseball. They were his world. Family was the most important thing to Kyle. He married Karen Cowain Shumake on November 25, 2018 and his life was so full of love and laughter.
Kyle is preceded in death by his parents, Glendora Shumake and Ernest Lee Shumake; and brother, Jerry Lee Shumake.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Cowain Shumake of Arlington, Texas; sons, Cameron Lee Shumake and Memphis Matthew Turner of Mansfield, Texas; stepson, Matthew Gooch and wife, Lori of Colorado Springs, Colorado; stepdaughter, Mallory Gooch of Ennis, Texas; grandchildren, Rylie, Madison, and Jackson Gooch; sister, Trina Shumake Barry of Bedford, Texas; nephews, Tim Barry and wife, Idalia of Crowley, Texas, Andrew Barry of Fort Worth, Texas, and Robert Barry of Arlington, Texas; nieces, Laura Barry of Dallas, Texas and Lauren Hughes and husband, Clay of Itasca, Texas; four great nieces; numerous cousins; and many loved ones.
Memorial Service will be held at Kyle and Karen's home
