Kenneth Lewis Barnett, 72, passed away on March 30, 2024. He was born in Fort Worth on June 2, 1951 to Kenneth J. Barnett and Charline T. Barnett of Haltom City.

Kenneth was a family man who worked hard to provide for his family. He worked for decades in the field of making interiors for helicopters. He retired from United Aviation Accessories, UAA which he enjoyed immensely.

Kenneth served in the United States Air Force Reserves. He was stationed at Lackland Airforce Base, San Antonio, TX for boot camp and finished his service at Shepherd Air Force Base near Wichita Falls, Tx.

In his youth his passion was playing baseball at the Northeast Optimist Club in Haltom city. He was a valued player and known for his talent as a Switch Pitcher.

Kenneth graduated from Haltom High School as a member of the 1969 Graduating Class.

He enjoyed his retirement and spent his time relaxing. He could often be found kicked back in his recliner taking a nap. He loved to watch westerns and older movies or tv shows. Of course any football or baseball game that came on TV would catch his attention. Kenneth found joy in many things but he found the most in spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He talked and asked about them often when not with them.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, retired SSF US Marine Dennis Keith Barnett.

Those left with cherished memories are his sons; Dustin and Cody Barnett, daughter-in-laws; Fran and Rebeca Barnett, sister; Charlotte Roberts, brother-in-law; Randall Roberts, and grandchildren; Brandon, Kye, Ayame, Zayne Barnett, and several nephews and nieces.

Kenneth will live on in the memories of those who loved him. He will be greatly missed.
