On December 2, 2019, Judith 'Judi' Ann (Fletcher) Lewis passed away at the age of 67. Judi was the life of the party, striking up a conversation with anyone, she could instantly become your friend. In her last few months she and her dog Bowie were nominated as Bingo Checker at The Waterford and were the most dynamic of duos.

Judi was born April 17, 1952 to Lyall and Dottie Fletcher.Growing up, Judi enjoyed family camping trips and pinochle games with her family. Judi spent most of her life working for Southwest Airlines as a reservations agent, where she built many friendships that she cherished.

Judi had many great loves in her life, including Dunkin' Donuts Coffee, Crossword Puzzles, her dogs and tennis; but there was no greater love than her husband Jerry.They built a beautiful life of 31 years filled with laughter, the most beautiful lawn, and travel. She loved to tell stories and reminisce about their travels together.Judi was always Jerry's co-captain, complete with attempting to co drive with her air brake to slow the car. On one memorable family vacation, as her husband was whipping around the curvy mountains of Colorado, she ripped the arm rest of their rental car clear off in attempts to steer the car. Both Judi and Jerry had a good hearty laugh every time they shared the story with family and friends.

Later in life she moved to Missouri to spend time with both her parents until their passing.Judi was a devoted daughter and sister. She enjoyed a close relationship with both of her siblings. Judi and her sister shared the same duplex for many years as adults. They shared many evening meals and laughs during those times, right up until Judi would break out her beloved cottage cheese and canned clam combination which would send Debbi packing to her own home until the smell had dissipated.

Judi was incredibly proud of her three children: Lisa (Lewis) Gates, Heather Liddell, and James Lewis. She would smile and tell you, "she and Jerry had a perfect family of mine, yours and ours". Together they would enjoy countless family trips with their children.

Judi was an unwavering supporter of her Children, Grandchildren, and the Dallas Cowboys. Her kindness, tolerance and willingness of her time was always a given for her friends and family. Her passion for football and tennis was often shared with her oldest grandson. The two of them would playfully banter back and forth about the players, as they enjoyed watching the games and matches together. Her love for the ocean was shared by many; especially with her oldest granddaughter. While on vacation they would enjoy walks on the beach and conversations overlooking the ocean. Just this last Christmas, she let her three youngest grandchildren convince her to get on the trampoline that Santa had brought.We will never forget her laughter streaming through the back yard as she let them bounce her around.

Judi was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her brother, Rick Fletcher and his wife Charlotte, her sister, Debbi Fletcher, her daughter, Lisa Gates and her husband Brian and their children Jerrod and Sammy, her daughter, Heather Liddell and her son, Noah, and her son, James Lewis and his wife Rebecca and their children Henry,Alexander, and Madeline.

The family would like to thank Dr. Alex Liao, who cared for Judi with great compassion and kindness, The staff and residents at The Waterford of Pantego who rallied around Judi and welcomed her into the community, and the team at Community Hospice of Texas for caring for Judi in her final days.

Judi will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send cards and share your fondest memories of her or perform an act of kindness or generosity for a stranger as a living legacy of all of the things Judi did for us.
