Joseph Edward Villemaire – 77 went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 12, 2018.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday, November 16th at St. Peter and St. Paul Anglican Church, 3900 Morris Lane, Arlington.The family will receive friends immediately following mass in the parish hall.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Joe was born December 17,1940, to Edward and Grace Villemaire.He grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts where he had many friends and wonderful memories.
In January 1960, he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard, where he earned the rank of Sergeant First Class.
In September 1971, he relocated to Arlington to pursue a long and fulfilling career as Branch Manager at Tubesales, a steel distribution company.
It was in Arlington that he met the love of his life, Karen.Joe and Karen were married on March 13, 1992.They lovingly raised their five children and spent many wonderful years together. Joe and Karen loved to travel with family and friends.
Joe loved nothing more than entertaining!He loved a good cigar and great conversation.He was the life of the party and everyone loved being around him.
Joe was very involved in the Anglican church and served on the Vestry at St. Peter and St. Paul.
He will be forever missed!
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marie Johansson and his uncle and aunt Douglas and Helen Risser.
Survivors: Joe is survived by his loving wife, Karen; children: Jim, Beth and her husband Frank, Susan and her husband Matt, Shawn and his wife Jennifer and Scott and his wife Stephanie.Grandchildren: Jordan, Cameron, Ian, Connie, Mason, Myles, Sienna, Emily, Ava and Evan; sister Judi and husband Bob; sister in law Lisa and Husband Fred; mother in law Margaret; many loving nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Bentley.
