Jon Marcus, age 59, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on September 16, 2024, after a sudden and brief illness related to meningoencephalitis.

Jon graduated from Robinson High School in 1983 and served as an aircraft electronics mechanic in the United States Air Force. After a brief stint in commercial real estate, Jon kickstarted his leadership and organizational development career in Waco, Texas. He went on to start his own business called Strategic Solutions Group. For nearly 25 years, Jon served a loyal group of clients as a true partner, helping organizations and individuals grow and meet important goals. Many of these clients consider themselves Jon's friends and credit him with helping them achieve important personal and professional milestones.

In addition, Jon enjoyed a successful college basketball officiating career at the Division 1 level, refereeing over 1,000 Division 1 games. He also served as a Division 2 Coordinator. What he was most known for in collegiate officiating was mentoring others. He created opportunities for others to join and advance their own officiating careers. Jon was an excellent golfer and would finish his workday on a golf course just in time to join family dinner.

In 2010, Jon married Daphne Barlow in Fort Worth on the 10th tee box at Mira Vista Country Club. He told his friends, clients, and just about anyone who would listen that marrying her was the best thing that ever happened to him. Their most important accomplishment as a couple was blending their children into one family—Cassidy, Madeline, Carter, and Abigail. In the last moments of Jon's life, he was surrounded by his wife, children, and their significant others.

Jon is survived by his wife, Daphne Barlow Stigliano; daughter, Cassidy Gray and husband Triston Gray; stepdaughter, Madeline Barlow; stepson, Carter Barlow; stepdaughter, Abigail Barlow; father, Paul (Tony) Stigliano; mother, Billie Stigliano; brother, James Stigliano; sister, Jami Stigliano Andosca and husband Joe Andosca.

A celebration of Jon's life will be held at Marriott Champions Circle on October 25, 2024 at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County using this link.
