John Whitley, age 77, peacefully went home to be with Our Lord and Savior on the morning of July 25, 2024 in Springtown, TX. John graduated from Eastern Hills High and attended Dallas Baptist College. He was a member of Sagamore Hill Baptist Church in Fort Worth, where he sang in the Choir and taught Children's Sunday School for many years. He was also a member of Toast Masters in the 90's. He was a very kind and loving Man, who never met a stranger. He was preceeded in death by his wife of 34 years, Montine Whitley; his sister, Teresa Cone; his parents and grandparents.

Survivors are sister, Michelle Whitley of Springtown, TX;  nephews, Will Brown of Weatherford, TX,  Wes Brown and wife Sabrina of Springtown, TX, Zachary Tramel and wife Teresa of Lufkin, TX; four great nieces and nephews, Blaize Brown, Rylie Brown, Caleb Underwood and Chelsea Tramel.

Graveside Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 23, 2024 at Greenwood Mount Olivet Cemetery, 2301 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX  76111.
