Joe Michael Gomez passed away on April 12, 2021 at the age of 63. A private visitation was held for his children on Monday, April 19, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny S. Gomez, Sr.; his mother, Laura A Gomez; his sister, Susan G Lerma; his brother, Johnny S. Gomez, Jr.; and nephew, John M. (Mikey) Lerma.

He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Alcaraz Galindo, Bella Tica (Robledo) Smith, Jenna M Gomez, and Monique O. Gomez; 5 grandchildren, Amanda Alcaraz, Thomas Alcaraz, Alyssa Galindo, Arianna Galindo and Olivia Harst; 3 great-grandchildren, Nathan, Madalyn and Sofia; sister, Paula Seranica Gomez; brothers, Gary Serrano Gomez, Jerry John Serrano Gomez and Lawrence Raymond Gomez Meyer, and his wife, Sue; niece, Monica D. Reyna and her husband, Jesse; nephews, Jeffrey J. Gomez and Jesse J. Gomez.
