Born in Rugby, North Dakota to Arthur and Elsie (MacDiarmed) Anderson. He passed away in Arlington, Texas. Graduated from Rugby High School 1955, married Joyce Haverstraw. They had two sons. In 1967 he married Cleo Johnson. They had four children.

Jerry was a lifelong carpenter; he loved his career. His last job was on April 20, 2005. He fell from a ladder and never fully recovered.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sons Kevin and Kelly, and his brothers Robert and Charles.

Jerry leaves behind his wife Cleo, sons Karl and Arthur (married to Sunny), daughters Marie Murray (married to Michael) and Kristine Tranmer (married to Jeremy).

His grandchildren include Jennifer Bengston (married to Jeremy), Nick, Kayla Berry (married to Talon), Zac Hinds (married to Carly), Gage, Kole Winnett, Maddy, Jack Winnett, Dean, Tracy Murray and Skye Tranmer.

Jerry had ten great grands and a special friend of the family, Ruth Perez.

Additional family members include his brother and sister, David and Debra plus many nieces and nephews and long list of cherished friends.

Jerry never met a stranger. Loved the outdoors and enjoyed cheering on his favorite team (the Vikings). His laugh was loud, his hugs were long, his food tasted amazing, and everyone was welcome.

Family was everything to him. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, and foster parent.

His generosity knew no bounds. Countless people recall times when Jerry made profound differences in their lives.

He was always in pursuit of knowledge, enjoyed a good card game, or round of dominos, was certain bananas and lysine could pretty much cure anything.

He enjoyed his Carlo Rossi red wine later in life and often joked about having just one glass at night (despite that glass size increasing over the years).

His work ethic was legendary.

There will be a Celebration of Jerry's Life on September 30th in Arlington Texas. In lieu of sending flowers, please extend a random act of kindness in Jerry's honor.  Jerry's ashes will be buried in Long Bridge Lutheran in Minnesota.
