JAMES NATHAN RICHARDSON
9/6/47 – 7/8/19
James N. Richardson of Arlington, Texas was born in Fort Worth, Texas on September 6, 1947, and was called Home on July 8, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.W. "Bud" Richardson and Mary Jo "Jodie" Richardson, his brother, Gary Wayne Richardson, and his sister, Cynthia Richardson.
He was a loved father, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Through his life he enjoyed many rewarding careers, including serving with pride as a peace officer with the Irving Police Department from 1972 to 1977. He enjoyed his retirement from the workforce by becoming a successful gambler; when he wasn't in the hospital, he was in a casino somewhere playing video poker. A man of many talents, with a quick wit and infectious laugh, he brought smiles to all those he encountered.
He was a fiercely proud and supportive father of two and grandfather of four. He is loved and missed by his daughters Leah Wallace and DeAnna Hart; his sons-in-law Larry Wallace and Ricky Hart; his aunt Donna Gustin; his grandchildren, Lauren and Luke Wallace and Rose and Danny Green; sister-in-law Melody Richardson; nephews Troy and Blake Stevens and Dennis Richardson; nieces Jennifer Laberteaux and Kerrie Baker; and many, many more.
A memorial service is being planned for early fall.
