James Timothy "Tim" Kelley, affectionately known as "Unka Tim" to his beloved nieces and nephews, passed away on September 16, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 68.

Born on September 15, 1957, in Dallas, Texas, Tim was the son of Frank and Jackie Kelley. He grew up in Ferris and attended Ferris ISD schools, graduating from Ferris High School. A proud Red Raider, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from Texas Tech University in 1982.

Tim built a successful career in purchasing and lease management with McAfee and Microsoft. His professional life reflected his dedication and attention to detail—qualities that also defined his personal passions.

Tim had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. A devoted advocate for the Humane Society, he adopted many dogs throughout his life and was known for his exceptional ability to train them. His home was always filled with the joyful presence of canine companions who were lucky enough to be part of his world.

Family was central to Tim's life. He cherished time spent with his siblings: Mike Kelley and wife Beth; Pat Kelley and wife Karen; Kathy Perry and husband Tony; Lynn Kelley; and Glenda Kelley. He held close the memory of his parents and his brother Kevin Kelley, who preceded him in death.

Tim's bond with his nieces and nephews was especially strong. Known lovingly as "Unka Tim," he brought joy, humor, and wisdom into their lives. He will be deeply missed by Melissa Kelley; Heidi Scheurmann Hendley and husband David; Wendy Perry; Colleen Kelley; Lauren Vincent and husband Kenton; Alex Kelley; Zach Perry; Shane Kelley and wife Julia; Gus Kelley and fiancé Amanda; and Nick Kelley and wife Natalie.

Beyond family gatherings, Tim found joy in music and history—interests that enriched conversations with those around him. Whether discussing historical events or sharing favorite songs, he brought enthusiasm and insight to every exchange.

A Memorial Service will be held on October 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at First United Methodist Church 101 Redbud Dr., Ferris, Texas. Family visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kevin Kelley "Purple Pipes" Memorial Scholarship at Stephen F. Austin State University—a cause close to Tim's heart.
