Howard Dale McMennamy of Grand Prairie Texas passed away Saturday, May 16th, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. A memorial of Howard's life will be held at 2pm, Saturday, June 6th, 2020 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Irving, Texas.
Howard was born June 2, 1956 in Dallas Texas. He attended Grand Prairie High School. After he finished school,he went to work in the bar and restaurant business in Houston. He learned the business from the ground up under his Uncle, Perre Edwards. They worked and lived together for many years in Houston. After some time, Howard came back to the Dallas area and began working in the club business in the early 80s. In 1985, he pursued his dream and opened up his own club, Backstreet, in Deep Ellum. After that, he moved on to the entertainment business. He met the love of his life, Annlea in 1993. Shortly after that, they moved in together and welcomed their son, Conner into the world in 1996 and later married in 2006.
Howard loved art, drawing and playing tennis and golf, and most especially, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Annlea McMennamy, his sons, Conner McMennamy and Clayton Willis, his mother Patricia Edwards Sandoval, his father, V. Dale McMennamy, and his sister Michelle McMennamy Scott and family, his uncle, Perre Edwards, and the Edge family.
