Henry Powell Thomas II, 71, joined THE Father on Father's Day, June 17, 2018.He was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan on May 2, 1947 to John and Sadie Thomas but got to Texas as quickly as he could.He was an avid hockey fan and enjoyed gardening, shopping at Sam's and the great outdoors.He adored his four-legged best friends.He also loved traveling and was particularly fond of a trip to Italy.Despite a long battle with bile duct cancer, one of his favorite things to do was listen to his rock star grandson play guitar.

Henry leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years, Vickii.They are known to many as the BG's.He will also be lovingly remembered by his daughter Jennifer Barton, son-in-law Neil, and grandson Jacob.

The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful hospice nurses from Universal, including Tony, Paulette and CJ.The family is also indebted to Drs. Joshua and Amy Barton for their medical advice and guidance that allowed Henry to enjoy his last few bonus years.

Henry's celebration of life will be held in the lounge, near the chapel, at Saint Francis Village (10 St. Elizabeth Drive, Crowley, Texas 76036)at 2 pm on Sunday, June 24.Feel free to wear orange, Henry's favorite color.
