Henry Elbert Edgington, 76, passed away October 6, 2020 in Arlington, Texas. He was born on February 20, 1944 to Captain Harold "Lefty" Orr Edgington and Abbie O. Duncan in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Henry was proceeded in death by both of his parents and his brothers; Don Edgington, George Edgington, Ronald Edgington, and Harold Edgington, Jr.
Henry is survived by his three children; Chris Edgington, Carey Edgington, and Robin Cox and her husband Graham Cox, his grandchildren; Taylor Burns, Raegyn Edgington, Carsen Edgington, Camryn Edgington, Caleb Edgington, Leah Cox, Aubry Cox, and Kaitlyn Cox, his great grandkids; Penelope Ochoa and Novah Ochoa.

In his early years Henry spent time helping his father, Captain Lefty, on his fishing boat and enjoying the Gulf of Mexico.This is about the time he learned to love and play the guitar.In his early 20's Henry joined the US Navy and served honorably for 4 years. After leaving the Navy, in the early 1960's Henry joined a garage rock band by the name of "The Bad Seeds" and had three singles released and played on the Dick Clark American Bandstand in early 1966.After the band disbanded in late 1966, Henry found Christ and his true calling of preaching God's word.After attending Brown Trail School of Preaching, Henry spent the next 40 years of his life preaching across the State of Texas at various Church of Christ locations. In his later years Henry dedicated his life to being "Pappa", beloved by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.You would most likely find Henry talking about, playing, teaching, or listening to his kids and grandkids. Henry will be missed and forever loved for his warm and loving spirit, sweet smile and his funny one liners that always kept you on your toes. His family always came first, and his love was unconditional.
