Helen Carol Wiley of Fort Worth, TX, passed away on August 1, 2026.

Carol was born on August 22, 1944, in Tarrant County, Texas to Loyd and Eula Dollar.

She is survived by her nieces, Pat Thompson, Annette Jennings, and Debra Waits; her nephews, Bill Dollar, Blake Dollar, Michael Leamer, and Mark Leamer, and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews whom she loved dearly.

The youngest of four siblings, Carol was raised in Fort Worth and Azle, Texas, where she developed a strong spirit and a love of country life and animals that would remain with her for her whole life.

In 1961, Carol dedicated her life to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her faith remained the foundation of her life, providing comfort, purpose, and hope through every circumstance.

Carol spent much of her adult life in Azle with her then husband, Dennis (Frank) Saunders. There, she enjoyed gardening and caring for her cows, horses, dogs, and cats. Her compassion extended to abandoned pets, many of which found a loving home with her. She made room in her home and took care of her aged parents until their deaths.

In 1993, she married Bill Wiley and lived in Mineral Wells during their time together. Although Bill passed away in 2003, she treasured the years they shared together.

Despite significant health challenges later in life, she maintained her independence and faced difficulties with determination, a sense of humor, and unwavering faith. She freely shared her beliefs in God’s promises and looked forward to the hope found in the Bible.

Those who knew Carol will remember her warm heart, loyalty, sense of humor, and love of people and animals. Even in her final days she remained concerned for the wellbeing of others, including her faithful dog, Diesel.

Her faith and her strong, caring spirit left a lasting impression, and she will be deeply missed.
