Hanna
Whitley
Mar 24, 1993 — Jan 3, 2024
The Whitley family of Arlington mourns the sudden loss of Susan Hanna Whitley, 30, their daughter, sister and mother of her young son, Landon.
Hanna was born March 24, 1993, in Arlington, Texas, to L. Blake Whitley and Julie A. Whitley. Hanna is survived by her son, Landon, and Landon's father, Josh Jacobs. In addition to innumerable friends and associates, a herd of aunts, uncles and cousins, and her parents, Hanna leaves behind two brothers, Austin Whitley, and L. Alexander Whitley and his wife, Kayce Whitley. Hanna is also survived by her grandparents, Sid "Grandad" Huston and "Nana-Sue" Huston.
Hanna graduated from Arlington High School in 2011 and attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
Hanna had many talents and interests, including cooking, reading and music, but none took precedence over caring for and raising her son, Landon, her pride and joy. A doting mother, she broached no interference in raising her child.
Besides her son and many other interests, Hanna was a staunch supporter of underdogs everywhere and she carried herself with steadfastness and purpose. No cause was too large or too small for Hanna to take up.
She will be sorely missed.
A celebration of Hanna's life will take place at River Legacy Science Center, 703 NW Green Oaks Boulevard, Arlington, Texas 76006 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2024.
Please dress comfortably and consider wearing bright colors to celebrate Hanna's life.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to River Legacy Science Center (riverlegacy.org) in Arlington.
