Grover "Lucky" Coffey Rue, Jr., 77, passed away on Wednesday November 4, 2020.
Lucky's final resting place will be Good Hope Cemetery located in the Parvin community near Prosper, TX.

Lucky was born on June 24, 1943 in Celina, Texas to Grover Coffey Rue, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Ellison.
Lucky resided at the Rue Homestead farm which was established in 1854 in Denton County most of his life. He graduated from Celina High School and attended Arlington College. He was employed and retired from Texas Instruments in Richardson, Texas.
Lucky loved his family, was always up for a good discussion and never missed letting you know he cared.Lucky raised and trained Quarter Horses; was a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horses Association, NCHA & ACHA.He enjoyed riding and training his horses, hunting and fishing and all outdoor activates.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary & Grover Rue; and daughter, Brenda Rue.
He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Southard and husband Darel Southard; grandsons, Peyton Williams and Stetson Southard of Joshua, TX; sister, Nancy and husband, Tom Ferguson of Sugarland, TX; and numerous family members and friends.
Lord, in the falling dusk, when I get the final call, the happiest trail will be for you to say let's ride Cowboy.I will leave a pony on the other side for everyone I have left behind and will be riding in greener pastures until we meet again.Good bye Cowboy until we meet again.
