Graham "Thumper" George Henry Baker, 82, transitioned to the next chapter of life on September 29, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas. Graham was born in his grandparent's home in Bristol, England on January 26th, 1938 to George and Dora Baker. At the age of 17 he joined The Royal Air Force serving on the mountain rescue team as well as becoming a Drum Major in his units' band. He was his own metronome and lived life to his own beat of the drum. In the 60's he retired from the service, took his family and emigrated to Canada, settling in British Columbia where he worked as the sole sales representative for the entire province of BC for a large textile company and eventually went into business with his wife Rita (predeceased) in a interior design/window covering business.

Graham loved the mantra "live life to the fullest" and did just that. He had a great sense of humor and his charismatic smile was contagious. He was adventurous yet a kind and loving man who loved his family, food, a good gin and tonic, nice cars, hiking, sailing, traveling, drumming (hence the nickname Thumper) and children. He was fondly known as the "baby whisperer". After Rita lost her battle to cancer Graham eventually found love again and in 2016, he moved to Fort Worth, Texas to marry Anntoinette where he gained yet another family who loved him dearly.

Graham was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 45 years, Rita Baker; grandson Kyle Bryant. Survived by: wife, Anntoinette Baker of Fort Worth, TX; daughter, Samantha Meadows and husband Rodney; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Melody, Taylor and Joshua of Nanaimo, BC; daughter, Sonja Hnatyshyn and husband Barry; grandsons, Jordan and Drew of Nanaimo, BC; son, Peter Bryant and fiance Cheryl Miranda; grandchildren, Krystal and Emily of BC; daughter, Atara Cox of Jonesborough, AR; daughter, Arabella Bianchi and fiance Nikunj "Nikki" Aggarwal; granddaughters, Cerenity and Oriana and son Desmond Keaton all of Fort Worth, Texas. And in his beloved homeland England, his dearest sister Margaret Hall and life partner David Tucker; niece Leanne Vowles and partner David Evans; great niece and nephew, Kalia and Mason. Nephew, Kieron Vowles and partner Perminder Singh, all of Weston-super-mare, England.

The family would like to thank the staff of Texas Oncology Southwest and the Cancer Care Transfusion Center for their loving care through these last 2+ years while Graham battled cancer. You are all health care heroes!

Given the current situation and in an effort to keep all our friends and loved ones healthy the family will be holding a private service which will be live streamed on Graham's Facebook page on Tuesday October 6th at 3:30pm CST. And in lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider donations to local elementary school music programs to help bring music to young impressionable at-risk children. Per Graham's request, his own prized instruments will be donated to at risk schools.
