Edna Irene Glass, of Granbury, TX, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at the age of 94.  Edna, known by all as Irene, spent her early life in Independence, Missouri, where she married her childhood sweetheart in 1947 and joined him for life in the Air Force. They had 4 children. She and her family explored museums, historical sites and other places of interest all over the United States, and she continued to enjoy traveling even after they left the military.  She was a loving wife and mother, artist, jewelry designer, ceramicist, and bridge master, as well as a confidant, advice giver, dream supporter, map coordinate finder and many other things. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Isaac M. Glass after 69 years of marriage, as well as her parents, Chester and Flora Johnson, brothers Chester Lee Johnson and Vernon Johnson, and her sister Pauline Stears.  She is survived by her children, Christine Gayle Glass Henderson, Jeffrey Dale (Sylinda) Glass, Bruce Evan (Sandee) Glass, and Kirk Owen (Shawn-Dana) Glass, 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandsons.  Irene will be interred at DFW National Cemetery alongside her husband after a private ceremony.
