Obituary

Duane Norman "Coach" Orebaugh, born June 19, 1950, to Donald Robert and Jean Drew Orebaugh, passed away on June 1, 2024, at his home in Arlington, TX. He was born in Dodge City, KS, making him the sixth child out of seven children. The Orebaugh clan was blessed with six boys and one girl. Duane is preceded in death by his parents and four of his brothers, Donald, David, Darral, and Dennis. He is survived by siblings Doug (Jhonna) Orebaugh and Diana (Ken) Ulrickson.

He leaves behind his wife, Ky Orebaugh and his daughter, Melissa and her husband Craig Eiland. Melissa blessed Duane with four beautiful grandchildren whom he adored; Blake, Tucker, Delaney, and Gray. Duane always wanted to be near his grandchildren, delighting them with inappropriate stories, Donald Duck impressions, and his bigger-than-life personality.  After retiring from GM, Duane moved to Galveston to help take care of his grandchildren and then followed them to Austin before recently moving back to Arlington.

Duane will be greatly missed by too many nieces, nephews, and family members including his church family, Elks Lodge family, TCU  family, and Brewer Bear family. He was lovingly referred to by the nickname "Duane the Train" and it suited him to a T.  His master said to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master." Matthew 25:21 God Bless you Duane.
