Doreen Ida Strobert Kissel was born in her home, on June 9, 1928, in Watertown, New York. She married William George Kissel on July 2, 1950. They made their home in Arlington, Texas where they had a daughter, Diane Sherrie (Jim) and a son, William Brian. They loved each other, their children; their grandchildren, Hannah (Isaac), Adam (Tawinan) and Ryan; their great-grandchildren, Luke, Pet, Damian, Elise, Holly, Leo and Jamie, along with their great-godchildren, Lysette and Sebastian.  Doreen worked for many years at UTA and was a longtime member of Aldersgate and Church of the Good Shepherd Methodist Church. She had wonderful, loving caregivers: Darlene, Janice, Betty, Deb and Juan.  At 96 years of age, Doreen died on November 11, 2024.
