Donna Marie Davenport, age 53 of Fort Worth Texas transitioned from this earth peacefully on November 22, 2019. She is survived by her Partner Sara Trigg, their son Collin Trigg Davenport, her parents Margaret and Claude Davenport, brothers Gary (Valerie) and David (Pam), sister Lisa (Candy) as well as one niece, three nephews and four great nephews and one great niece.
Donna was born in Melbourne, Florida on January 31, 1966. She grew up in Alabama and graduated from Colbert County High School where the mascot was a proud Native American Indian and the school colors were black and gold. Thus, Donna's beloved '92 Camaro also dawned those colors.
Donna liked doing things her own special way – as in getting off the school bus one day and spraining an ankle. She refused to move until someone got her sister, Lisa whom she asked to "make everyone go away and not to tell mom". Her sister shares that Donna's first words when something happened were always "Don't tell Mom!"
Donna was never still and would often disappear without a word, later to be found tinkering away outside doing any kind of odd project she could think of. She never hesitated to help others with their projects as well and her kindness meant a lot to many.
She was a tireless worker both at home and at her job. Her dedication will be dearly missed by her friends at ATS Drilling where Donna had been employed for 16 years, a place where she was not just a co-worker but part of their family as well.
Although sometimes quiet, her sense of humor was sprinkled throughout the day with one-liners that were snuck in stealthily at perfectly precise moments – causing anyone within earshot to snicker. Those moments were sunshine on a seemingly ordinary day.
Donna and her son, Trigg loved to go fishing, hiking and exploring wherever there was a place to discover a new adventure. Trinkets such as fishing gear, pocket knives and numerous odds and ends could be found in a pocket at any given moment. These moments lovingly shared by two buddies will be missed.
Donna also had a passion for animals, thus leaving behind four cats and a pot-bellied pig named "Piggly".
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 11:00am at Agape' Metropolitan Community Church, 4516 E California Pkwy, Forest Hill, TX 76119. The phone number is 817-535-5002.
In lieu of flowers a fund for medical expenses and for the benefit and care of Donna and Sara's son, Trigg has been set up through Agape' Metropolitan Community Church.
Donna was a registered organ donor and the family is honored that her kind gift was able to provide blessings to many others.
