Donald Earl White, 71, passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2019 at a local hospital and believing in organ/tissue donation, gave this gift of himself. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 12, 1947 to Wesley Earl White and Gloria Hadley. He was preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Phil.
Donald, "Donnie" married Leilani Sue Thomas on May 8, 1982 in Arlington and remained there raising their family. Left to remember him are his children, Franklin Wesley and his wife Ashley of Arlington, Texas, Christopher Brian and Krista of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Brittani Michelle of Arlington, as well as daughter, Lisa White of Dallas. He is also survived by three brothers, Steven, Kevin and Lyndsey; and was blessed to be Paw Paw to six grandchildren, Abby, Alex, Keagan, Bella, Hudson and Azalea; all of Texas.
Donnie enjoyed outdoor activities but those that know him knew that his "Man Cave" was the place to be, whether watching his sports with neighbors or movies with the grandkids.Neighbors never entered through the front door as they all knew his garage "man cave" was the entrance for a visit. Some of his cave man hobbies were drawing, painting and trying to learn calligraphy.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at: https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html?sc_icid=home-btn-donate-now
There will be a Celebration of Life for my husband, our father and our Paw Paw on August 17, 2019, at Stumpy's 2811 W. Division St., Arlington, Texas from 12:30 p.m., to 3:30 p.m. There will be a live band since he was a lover of music. Hope to see old friends, as well as new friends of Donnie's that I have not met.
