Don Anderson, 70, was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, March 9th, 2020.Don was loved by so many people for so many reasons.His humor, integrity, wisdom, acts of service, generosity and faith impacted countless lives and helped to make the world a better place.Above all, Don will be remembered as one who always put others ahead of himself.He was a true servant of God throughout his life.

Don is survived by his sons, Brian (Jessica) and Jeremy (Dani) Anderson; grandchildren, Tatum, Colton, Brady, Aryanna, Kinsley and Wyatt; siblings Mike Anderson, Sue (Bill) McComas, Anita Bailey, Rhonda, Brenda and Roger Paul Anderson; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.He is preceded in death by his parents, Garnet Bailey and Roger Anderson, stepfather, Floyd Bailey, daughter, Kimberly Stull, brother Hank Bailey and nephew Ryan Anderson.

Don was a graduate of Millersport High School in 1967 and began attending college until he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1969 (82nd Airborne).During his 25 years of employment at Lockheed Martin, he worked as an engineer on many projects including the F-16, F-22 and F-35 fighter jets.While working at Lockheed Martin, Don earned his bachelor's degree, with honors, from Texas Christian University.

Being a grandfather was one of Don's greatest joys in life. Building a playhouse for Tatum, teaching life lessons to Colton, deep philosophical conversations with Brady, earning the honorary middle name of "Red" from Aryanna, playing "piggies" with Kinsley and marveling at the size of his "hunk" grandson, Wyatt. These are just a few examples of the love he gave his grandchildren.

A memorial service in West Virginia will be held at a later date.In addition, an online tribute will be offered for those who are unable to attend. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that we always look for opportunities to be of service to others.Godspeed to a great man, until we meet again in heaven.We love you always.
