Diane Ialeen Roman's Obituary
Diane Ialeen Roman, 71, passed away on March 30, 2019 at her home in Mansfieldwith her family by her side.
Born in Brooklin, Ontario Canada February 23, 1948, she was the daughter of Lorne & Ialeen Crawford. She attended Anderson High School graduating in 1966. From there, she went on to pursue her dream of helping people by attending nursing school at Toronto East General hospital for 3 years. She graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1970 and immediately pursued her passion for nursing working in hospitals in Toronto, Burlington and McMaster University Medical Center in Hamilton until moving to the United States in 1984. She worked tirelessly as a nurse for 43 years before retiring in 2013. Her favorite avenue of nursing was labor & delivery. She was an extraordinary nurse and mother because of her compassion, spirit, hardwork, and desire to help and better other people's lives. She saw the positive and joy in each day. She truly loved caring for others and was always willing to give anything and everything she could to everyone.
She was an avid Christian being raised in Church. She will be remembered for her selfless, loving nature, her ability to see the good in all people, and her commitment to the Lord. She will also be remembered for her ability to make you laugh and willingness to smile and see the positive in tomorrow even through troubled times. She had dignity, grace, class and an incredible strength I only truly saw while she was battling cancer. She is without a doubt my hero and always will be.
She is survived by her daughter Elysia, son-in-law Kevin, grandson Ethan, sister Carol and brothers Brian, Neil, Murray and Grant. She is predeceased by her mother Ialeen, father Lorne and brother Wayne.
A private service will be held with her family in Canada where she will be laid to rest.
God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be. So He wrapped his arms around you and He whispered, "Come to me."
You didn't deserve what you went through, so He gave you needed rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best.
