David B. Taylor, Sr., age 76, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 2, 2025. He was born on May 28, 1948, in Oklahoma City, where he went to Putnam City High School and then graduated from Central State University. David married his high school sweetheart, Mary, while in college in 1968, and they had a marriage that lasted until his death; 56 years. After college graduation, the family moved to Dallas Fort Worth in 1972. They lived in Arlington, TX, until 1990, when they moved to the Grapevine/Colleyville area, after which, in 2014, they moved to Keller, TX.

David was a lover of Disney and Harley Davidson. He drove his Harley to Sturgis with his son, David Jr., for the motorcycle rally and explored the Black Hills in South Dakota. David and Mary were Disney Vacation Club members and regularly visited Walt Disney World.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Ugene and Doris, and his sister, Susan, of Oklahoma City. He is survived by his daughter Steffani Myrick, her husband Slade, and granddaughter Sophie Myrick, and by his son David Taylor Jr., his wife Sandra, grandson Vincent, and granddaughters Gabriela and Isabela. He is also survived by his older brother Gary Taylor of Birmingham, Alabama.

The family will be holding services for David at the chapel at The Bowden, in Keller, TX, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7th. Instead of flowers, a donation can be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation in his name. David will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family would like to express their gratitude for the support they received during David's life and illness. Friends and family are invited to share their memories of David at the service.
